A Classy Icon set for Ubuntu

With the new version of ubuntu 12.04 out already it still looks and feels old school. Therefore it is a very good idea to revamp the looks by installing a new icon set in ubuntu. The one that i use is called "Faenza".

This is a very good looking icon set and will give an entire new look and feel to an already good OS.

First add the PPA that holds these icons.

sudo apt-add-repository ppa:tiheum/equinox

Then update your apt database.

sudo apt-get update

Now, install the icons.

sudo apt-get install faenza-icon-theme

Once the icon set is installed you may need to activate it to mark it as the current icon set. You can easily do that with MyUnity. refer to my post on MyUnity to find out more.

have a look at the screenshot below of my desktop with this icon set.
